Are you ready for a big time multi-room transformation post today?! This gorgeous home in Southside Place in Bellaire, Texas has been through, well, a lot. After flooding during Hurricane Harvey, my clients decided to do a full blown renovation on this traditional residence. They have a more modern, natural, and streamlined aesthetic, so the home had a long way to go before fitting their dream vision. Take a look at this home before.

This renovation was a doozy!
The dining room was a really fun space to push the limits of organic and modern together! This room is immediately off the front entry, so we wanted to make a bold statement with contemporary colorful abstract art, and eye-catching boldness with wallpaper on the ceiling. The wallpaper really draws your eye to the stunning organic style light fixture, that is large in scale but balances the elements in the room perfectly. The graphic black finish on the light fixture really pops in the otherwise light and bright space. Woven wood window shades, woven leather and wood dining chairs, and the simple wood dining table are minimal but very natural. This space is casual enough to host any type of gathering, yet the room also still reads stylish and modern.
We had many goals for the primary suite. For the primary bedroom, keeping it bright, light and simple with layers of cozy bedding and natural materials. The primary bathroom was completely gutted, so we could rethink the layout and flow. The large window would be the perfect backdrop for a freestanding bathtub, next to a large walk-in shower with beautiful seamless glass and a floating bench. The vanity wall was absolutely huge, so we decided to mix painted and wood-toned cabinetry to break it up. A large floor to ceiling painted center cabinet was perfect for storing bath essentials. Then each wood-toned vanity was designed with a more modern look and generous drawers. The thick dark gray quartz and warm wood stain contrasts nicely against all of the warm white walls. Extra large concrete-look hexagonal floor tiles provide an earthy foundation to the room, and are also slip resistant. The marble-patterned porcelain wall tile is floor to ceiling and really stunning and fresh. We mixed brushed nickel on the plumbing fixtures and flat black on the cabinet hardware for visual interest and a nod to modern. The final accessory layer uses natural linens, earthy tones, fresh greenery, and soft lines to add to the spa-like feel of the room.
