Project: Studio L Place to Dwell - Master Bathroom Design Plan

Following this very awkward middle-of-the-week holiday, I hope this design update for #studioLplacetodwell can be the perfect distraction while you settle back in to your normal work/life routine.  And if you missed last week's blog about the kitchen design for our fixer upper, check it out here

The next space I wanted to tackle is the master bathroom.  We've all heard plenty of times that "kitchens and bathrooms sell houses" - and while we aren't planning to sell this house anytime soon, that phrase just emphasizes the importance of getting the design right in those 2 spaces.  I've refined the master bathroom design plan plenty of times, but for now you can call this design scheme:  classic + neutral + glam.  Normally, I am not the biggest fan of "glamorous" design influences, but I think the matte brass finishes work well in a master bathroom setting - I want it to have the feeling of a bright luxury hotel bath.  Ooh la la!

You will see below on the design board, the floors and shower wall tile are a Carrara-look porcelain - a product that screams sophistication, but still so classic.  All plumbing and accessory elements are a Champagne Bronze finish, and I think they elevate the design.  The mirrors are the fanciest element in the room - I like the corner detail and shape - it adds flair and personality.  And to keep everything from becoming too "brassy", I'm planning to mix in single sconces in a polished nickel finish.

And finally, just like last week's kitchen video tour, here is a new video tour of the 3D rendering, to better visualize the layout for the master bathroom.
