while working on a recent project, i uncovered my new favorite thing…..cheap beads. sounds juvenile, but just you wait! if you have never visited the sewing/notions section of hobby lobby, michaels, joanns, walmart, need i go on?……..drop everything and run. beaded trim is a CHEAP and magical way to add such charming detail to any-and-everything upholstered. i chose this trim (in black) from “simplicity” at joann’s.:
What to do with such simple baubles? i added it to an upholstered headboard, using a staple gun to create a channel in the headboard, and then the trusty glue gun to apply the bead trim. voila! totally transformed.
add trim, ribbon, fabric, anything to spice up your most boring lamp shades by applying with r. glue gun. did your favorite beaded necklace from forever 21 break just the other day? you know what to do.
